Suzanne Unger Young serves as the President of Three Oaks Engineering since January 2014, leading a woman-owned business dedicated to infrastructure projects with a strong emphasis on community and environmental considerations. Prior to this role, Suzanne held the position of Environmental Engineer at Michael Baker International from May 2001 to January 2014, where management of the environmental planning department involved preparing NEPA documents for federal projects. Earlier experience includes a role as Environmental Engineer at Research Triangle Institute, managing the production of the US EPA's National Water Quality Inventory reports. Suzanne holds an MS in Environmental Management & Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BS in Environmental Engineering from Northwestern University.

Three Oaks Engineering is a woman-owned business enterprise (WBE) focused on helping our clients successfully accomplish infrastructure projects with careful consideration of community and environmental needs. We offer a broad range of services, including National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation, transit planning, multimodal transportation planning, traffic engineering, roadway design, multimodal design, hydraulic design, community impact assessment, indirect and cumulative impacts analysis, threatened and endangered species surveys, wetland and stream delineations, and environmental permitting. Additionally, we have developed significant public engagement campaigns and offer in-house Spanish translation services.
