Greg Young

Greg Young is a seasoned venture capital professional with extensive experience in the life sciences sector. Currently serving as a Venture Partner at SVG Ventures | THRIVE since June 2023, Greg also holds the position of Managing Partner at Spruce Capital Partners, LLC since November 2013. Previously, Greg was the Investment Director at MLSCF from January 2007 to December 2014 and spent over 13 years as Managing Director at Burrill & Company, where responsibilities included sourcing and managing early to mid-stage venture opportunities. Early career experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Celgene’s Signal Pharmaceuticals Division. Greg holds a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UC San Diego.
