Jackson Poulos

Jackson Poulos is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in backend development and system architecture. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Thumbtack since August 2017, Jackson focuses on transitioning PHP monoliths to Go microservices and creating new services and APIs to enhance product development. Prior experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at Sidewire from March 2015 to July 2017, where Jackson developed backend infrastructure, improved application responsiveness through Redis caching, and implemented features for user interaction. Earlier positions include Research Assistant at Stanford University and Lead Programmer at FreeSpark Games, LLC, where Jackson designed and developed successful flash games. Jackson holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematical and Computational Science from Stanford University.
