Kamal Acharya

Kamal Acharya is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in developing and managing high-performance systems across various industry leaders. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Thumbtack since August 2016, Kamal previously held senior engineering roles at SKOUT and Apple, where skills in backend engineering and continuous delivery were honed. Earlier professional experience includes leadership positions at Microsoft, where Kamal led the development of conversational understanding technologies, and Tellme Networks, focusing on voice application platforms. Additional contributions were made during tenures at AOL and Netscape Communications, where Kamal advanced online services and user authentication systems. Kamal's technical foundation is supported by a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Florida Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela.
