Christopher Cape has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Christopher started their career as a flight instructor at the University of North Dakota in 1999. Christopher then worked as a regional airline pilot at Piedmont Airlines from 2001 to 2004. Christopher continued their pilot career at Atlantic Southeast Airlines from 2004 to 2006. Christopher then joined Thunderbird Aviation, Inc as the General Manager and Director of Operations from 2006 to 2016. In 2016, they joined Southwest Airlines as a pilot and later took on the role of Operations Communication Group (OCG).
Christopher Cape earned their High School Diploma from St. John's College High School in 1996. Christopher then went on to pursue their Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics and Commercial Aviation from the University of North Dakota, which they completed in 2000. Christopher continued their education at the University of North Dakota and obtained a Master of Science degree in Aviation in 2008.

Thunderbird Aviation, a leader in aviation since 1962, is a full service provider of general aviation services, including aircraft charter, FBO services, aircraft maintenance, sales and flight training. Our facilities are located outside the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St.Paul, Minnesota, at Flying Cloud Airport and Crystal Airport. Thunderbird Aviation is an FAA certificated 135 Air Carrier and our flight school is FAA 141 approved. We operate the largest flight school in Minnesota and recently completed construction on a new Executive Terminal facility at Flying Cloud Airport.
