Rikus Oswald is an experienced professional in the field of Human Resources, currently serving as the Head of Reward & People Services at Thungela since June 2021, where leadership is provided to a Centre of Excellence focusing on Reward, HR Systems, and Organisation Design. Prior to this, Rikus held the position of Reward & HR Systems Manager at Anglo American, overseeing a team dedicated to similar functions. Rikus has also worked in various HR roles at BASF and Anglo American Inyosi Coal, gaining expertise in HR data integrity, organizational design, and talent management. Rikus began the professional journey as a Research Assistant at the University of Stellenbosch, after earning both a Master’s Degree in International Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Sociology, Economics, and Applied English Language Studies from the same institution.
