Micha Berger

Micha Berger is Chief Technology Officer of Telenet and is 20 years active in the telecom industry.

After completing his university degrees in Israel, he started his career in the IT industry. Then he joined the Cable industry working for HOT Israel responsible for Digital and Interactive service platform development and the roll out of VOD throughout the country.

Micha moved with his family to the Netherlands where he began working at UPC Netherlands, managing the Digital Services teams, Video Distribution and Engineering department, including the launch of key programs such as DTV, VOD and Interactive services followed by a full DOCSIS 3.0 and fiber roll out. In 2010, he joined the Liberty Global Corporate team to lead the Horizon TV platform rollout program across Europe.

Micha joined Telenet in July 2013 as Chief Technology Officer overseeing the network build, service assurance and engineering for fixed network and mobile network products. He contributed to the success of Telenet focusing and stimulating large investments for best in class fixed and mobile infrastructure leading key investment project in upgrading the HFC network to 1 GHz capacity and upgrading the mobile network to provide best in class mobile services.

Micha is also involved in stimulating new startups in Belgium while participating in the Telenet Kickstarter jury to choose and coach startups at their early phase. Telenet Kickstart boosts the Belgian start-up community through structural partnerships with leading incubators and accelerators, Telenet provides mentoring and coaching to early stage (digital) entrepreneurs, teaching them how to turn their innovative ideas into scalable and market-ready businesses.

Today Micha is also responsible for the Mobile Network and Operations activities across Liberty Global in Europe focusing on MVNO launches and mobile service assurance.

Micha is 47 lives in Brussels, with his wife and 3 children.
