Curtis K. Aasen is the VP for Information Systems & Institutional Effectiveness.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Aasen served TCC as the Associate Director of Institutional Effectiveness, the Coordinator of Institutional Research, and as a programmer and senior analyst for Institutional Research. Before coming to TCC, he spent six years as a systems engineer for Sentel Corporation and four years as an engineer for Comsearch Applied Technology.
Mr. Aasen earned his master of business administration from Old Dominion University and his bachelor of science in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University.

Founded in 1968 as a part of the Virginia Community College System, Tidewater Community College (TCC) serves South Hampton Roads with campuses in Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach. TCC is the largest provider of higher education and workforce development services in Hampton Roads, enrolling nearly 34,000 students annually—the second largest undergraduate student body in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is the 11th largest public two-year community college in the entire nation.
