Beam is passionate about helping individuals, teams, and organizations achieve their full potential in a Maslow-like, Self-actualization kind of way. He reflects on the many paths to the summit of performance during his marathon training (14 and counting) and other continued exploration of history and philosophy.
Dr. Brian “Beam” Maue has been engaged in global change initiatives for more than a decade. Most notably, from 2017-2020, Beam cofounded and led AFWERX--a talented, nationally dispersed innovation team for the 600,000 members of the United States Air Force. In 2020, AFWERX was ranked #16 in the world by Fast Company—out of 865 organizations evaluated—as a “Best Workplace for Innovators.”
Prior to joining TiER1, Beam also served as an Air Force officer for 21 years, primarily creating or implementing global strategic deterrence efforts. His enterprise-level duties included serving as an ICBM launch officer and evaluator, analyzing and evolving nuclear capability budgets, and developing and delivering nuclear treaty initiatives. He also instructed at the U.S. Air Force Academy’s Department of Management.
