Sophia Shepherd is a dynamic investment management and finance professional currently serving as an Incoming 2024 Investment Management Intern at Taconic Capital Advisors and an Incoming 2025 Investment Banking Summer Analyst at UBS. As a Summer Intensive Program Scholar at Girls Who Invest, Sophia completed a rigorous training program and secured a paid internship on an investment team. Sophia also holds leadership roles as President of Princeton Women in Economics and Policy and as Founder & President of Tiger Media. Additional experience includes producing podcasts, managing outreach for the TigerLaunch entrepreneurship competition, and interning with a Miami-based family office. Sophia is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a Finance minor at Princeton University, having graduated from Druid Hills High School with an International Baccalaureate diploma.

TigerLaunch is the nation's largest student-run inter-collegiate entrepreneurship competition, put on annually by the Princeton Entrepreneurship Club at Princeton University and with the support of many other student partner entrepreneurship associations across the country. Run by students for other students, TigerLaunch is more than just a "business plan competition," bringing together the nation's best and most promising student-founded companies to pitch, network, and grow their startups far past the idea phase in a one of a kind experience unrivaled by any other student entrepreneurship competition in the country.
