In 2005, James joined Tim Hortons as the VP of Vertical Integration and is currently associated with this company.

James Wiant earned a B.Sc. degree in Biology from Hampden-Sydney College, where they studied from 1974 to 1977. Later, they pursued an MBA in General Management at the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University from 1984 to 1985.
