Adam Grindstaff has worked in various roles over the past two decades. Adam started their career in 1996 as a Teacher at North St. Francois County R-1 School District. In 2000, they became a Principal at West St. Francois R-IV School District. Adam then moved to DE SOTO PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT 73 in 2003, where they served as a Principal until 2018. During this time, they also served as a CASA Volunteer at CASA of Jefferson County and a Marion MST Magnet Teacher at Marion School District. In 2017, they became a Tinkergarten Leader at Tinkergarten, where they trained kids ages 0-8 in outside learning through play. In 2019, they became a Building Principal at Charleston R-1 School District.

Adam Grindstaff began their educational journey in 1994 when they graduated with a Bachelor of Arts - BA from Central Methodist University, majoring in K-8 Education/Early Childhood Education/Middle School Endorsement. In 1997, they continued their studies at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, earning an Advanced/Specialist in Educational Administration degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General. In 1999, they completed their Master of Education - MEd from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, majoring in Educational Administration and Supervision.
