Tinkergarten
Kate Lanfer has worked in various roles since 2003. Kate began their career at Thomson Financial as a Technology Training/Sales Relationship Manager in 2003. In 2007, they moved to UBS as a Technology Trainer. The following year, they joined The Stanwich School as a Teaching Associate. In 2010, they began working at Stratford Public School as a Special Education Teacher. Kate then returned to The Stanwich School in 2013 as a Lower School Teacher. Most recently, in 2016, they joined Tinkergarten as a Tinkergarten Leader. In this role, they lead outdoor play-based early education classes and activities in the Westchester County community. Kate also mentors new and veteran Tinkergarten leaders around the country and is a member of the Curriculum Advisory Program group.
Kate Lanfer obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of Vermont between 1999 and 2003. Kate then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Manhattanville College between 2008 and 2010. Kate also holds certifications in Elementary and Special Education, 1-6, from both the New York Dept of Education and the Connecticut Dept of Education.
