Robert Kobayashi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and automotive motorsports. Currently serving as a Product Engineer at The Tire Rack since May 2003, Robert has developed and maintained a CAD drawing database for wheels and vehicles. Additionally, Robert has been an advisor for the Baja SAE competition at the University of Notre Dame since September 1995, where mentorship is provided to students throughout the design competition. As an Independent Consultant, Robert specializes in motorsport development, offering driver development and automotive tuning services, particularly with BMW vehicles. Previous roles include Manufacturing Engineer positions at Tyler Refrigeration, Dometic Corporation, and Toro - Wheel Horse, where Robert focused on plant layout, process improvement, and assembly instructions. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, obtained in 1989.
