Inside Sales Representative

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage customer inquiries regarding pricing and product information.
  • Develop proficiency in all industry product knowledge.
  • Collaborate closely with Outside Sales Representatives and Procurement.
  • Prepare and review proposals and quotes based on project specifications and client needs.
  • Analyze RFQs and technical drawings to create accurate proposals.
  • Monitor competitor activity to drive sales success.
  • Maintain detailed records in compliance with sales processes and CRM tools.
  • Follow up with customers on orders, quotes, and requested services.
  • Maintain professionalism, tact, and diplomacy to represent the company in a positive manner.
  • Process customer sales orders and payments efficiently.
  • Prepare bills of lading and other shipping documents.
  • Coordinate orders and shipments with yard personnel.
  • Arrange local material deliveries with freight carriers.
  • Receive incoming inventory and custom order shipments.
  • Assist customers with inquiries related to pricing and product information.
  • Perform data entry and serve as an administrative liaison with head office.
  • Manage and purchase office MRO supplies.
  • Assist with inventory management and conduct light office cleaning.
  • Learn product knowledge to enhance customer interactions.
  • Work closely with the sales and procurement team.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team-based environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly organized and process driven.
  • Dedicated to the pursuit of continuous improvement.
  • Additional consideration will be given to a candidate that has knowledge of construction products in a similar role.
  • Previous experiences in sales or customer service are considered an asset

  • This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm)
  • This position is open to candidates based in British Columbia.
