Founded in 2004 by Gareth Bertram, TLPI initially built its foundations in the world of finance. In 2008 it grew to focus on property and by 2010, further diversified as Gareth realised the gap in the market for combining his expertise in business finance, tax planning, pensions and property.

Realising Gareth’s own personal values, clear vision and goals to expand, the company has grown extensively in both employees and reach. 

The company is now led by Mike Holt, an experienced property and finance professional who joined the team in 2012. The company continues to grow and succeed under Mike with a team of experienced tax and financial consultants,  marketing team, and business support team. This is underpinned by the company’s philosophy of growth through change and focus on long-term results.

2020 saw further growth with the formation of Protero Tax, a Chartered Accountancy practice.

In 2021, The Lifetime Business tax plan was launched to address the demand for a product that fully optimises tax for businesses that are successfully making profit. The product provides an efficient solution to investing company profits without the 40% tax implication, and reducing inheritance tax.
