Laura Shippey

Laura Shippey has a solid background in design with over 20 years of experience. laura began their career as a womenswear designer at Margaret Howell in 1998 and worked their way up to Senior Womenswear Designer, responsible for designing and developing the Mainline collection. In 2006, Laura moved to Margaret Howell's concept line MHL as Senior Womenswear Designer, where they continued to excel in design and development. In 2007, Laura joined J Crew as a Senior Designer for Crewcuts, designing various clothing items including dresses, outerwear, shirts, and skirts. laura also had the honor of designing coats worn by Sasha and Malia Obama to the Presidential inauguration in 2009. After four years, Laura was promoted to Design Director for Crewcuts. Most recently, they served as Head of Design at TOA.ST since 2015.

Laura Shippey attended Northumbria University from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a BA(hons) degree in Fashion Design.
