Shawn Pan

Shawn Pan is a seasoned software engineer currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Toast since July 2017, where improvements in data syncing reliability and onboarding workflows for point-of-sale systems have been key contributions. Prior to this role, Shawn held the position of Software Engineer Technical Lead at Vecna from June 2012 to December 2015, overseeing a team of four engineers while guiding software architecture for patient self-service applications. Early career achievements at Vecna included developing a web application framework in Java, enhancing patient data intake, and integrating technology for self-service health station prototypes. Shawn holds a Master of Science in Computational Science from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Biological Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
