Dr. Assaf Natanzon is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in data protection, management, and storage solutions. Currently serving as Technical VP and Chief Architect for Huawei Storage, Dr. Natanzon leads the secondary storage and data management strategies, notably contributing to the development of OceanProtect secondary storage. Prior roles include VP at Dell EMC, focusing on future data protection and management technologies, and distinguished engineer at EMC, where Dr. Natanzon oversaw significant product lines in data protection. Earlier in the career, Dr. Natanzon gained valuable experience as a replication group leader at Kashya and algorithm team leader at Expand Networks, alongside foundational work as a senior algorithm developer in the Israel Defense Forces. Dr. Natanzon holds a PhD in Computer Science from Ben-Gurion University and advanced degrees from Tel Aviv University in Computer Science and Mathematics.
