Ken Piel has a diverse professional background spanning education, management, and public service. Currently a Substitute Teacher for Toledo Public Schools since December 2017, Ken has engaged with various grade levels and completed a long-term assignment teaching Physical Sciences and Honors Physics. In addition, Ken holds leadership roles in Toastmasters as Vice President Education and has served as a District 28 Officer. With extensive experience in election processes as an Election Official for the Lucas County Board of Elections since 2004, Ken also has a strong accounting background, having managed finances for Northwest Ohio Masonry & Stone and Allstates Refractory Contractors. Formerly the Public Affairs Manager for the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce, Ken's career also includes experience in sales and insurance representation. Ken holds a Master’s in Business Administration with a Finance major and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Toledo.
