Kimberly Sams has extensive experience in the field of education, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Curriculum at Toledo Public Schools since August 2012, focusing on high school credit recovery and the ODE Third Grade Reading Guarantee. Previously, from September 1992 to August 2011, Kimberly held the role of Assistant Principal and Literacy Specialist, providing district-wide literacy support and professional development to teachers and school staff. As a Peer Literacy Coach, Kimberly worked on the Reading First Grant, delivering professional development and collaborating with primary teachers to enhance literacy strategies and improve student performance. Kimberly holds an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, a Master of Education in Reading Teacher Education, and a Bachelor of Education in Elementary and Early Childhood, all from the University of Toledo.
