Forest Cannon

Forest Cannon is an accomplished professional in the field of atmospheric science and data science, currently serving as the Director of Data Science at Tomorrow.io since October 2021, previously holding titles of Principal and Senior Atmospheric Data Scientist. Prior experience includes work as an Atmospheric Scientist at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography from October 2016 to October 2021, focusing on extreme weather phenomena. Additionally, Forest Cannon served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Earth Research Institute and was involved in a NASA Earth and Space Science Doctoral Fellowship, exploring links between extreme precipitation events and atmospheric circulation in High Asia. Educational qualifications include a PhD and Master's degree in Physical Geography, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Geography, all from UC Santa Barbara.
