Harold Goddijn is the Chief Executive Officer of TomTom and a member of its Management Board. He is an entrepreneur and innovator who co-founded TomTom in 1991, having previously founded Psion Netherlands BV in 1989 as a joint venture with Psion Plc.
TomTom created the easy-to-use navigation device, one of the most influential inventions of all time. Since then, the company has grown from a start-up into the world’s leading location technology specialist, shaping mobility with highly accurate maps, navigation software, real-time traffic and services.
Because of Harold’s vision and leadership, the business today includes industry-leading location-based products, embedded automotive navigation solutions, innovative personal navigation devices and apps. TomTom is shaping the future of driving with the most innovative technologies to improve driving today and completely change it tomorrow.
Harold is chair of the Comité voor Financiering, advising the Dutch Minister of Finance. Harold is also a member of the Supervisory Board of Coolblue since 2016.
Harold is a Dutch national, based in Amsterdam. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Amsterdam.
In 2016, Harold was knighted in the Royal Order of Orange-Nassau.
