Ashley Cates is a narrative design lead with extensive experience in the game development industry. Currently guiding the story for ScareCrow at USC Games, Ashley has previously worked on multiple projects, including Oopz Oofs and Dandelion Wine. Additionally, Ashley serves as a game design coordinator for Toontown Rewritten and has held various roles at Walt Disney Imagineering and Disney Live Entertainment focusing on narrative writing and interactive character experiences. Ashley's background also includes mentoring in screenwriting and providing SAT English tutoring, alongside an ongoing education at the University of Southern California, pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Game Development & Interactive Design.

Toontown Rewritten
On August 20, 2013, Disney officially announced the closure of their popular online game and the first-ever family oriented MMO, Toontown Online. In the time between the announcement of closing and its final closure, a few online friends worked with one goal in mind: Find a way to keep Toontown alive. On the day Toontown Online closed, Toontown Rewritten was officially announced. Toontown Rewritten continues today with over 1,750,000 registered players. Above all, we value three concepts that we believe to be central to the Toontown experience: For one, we provide a safe place for people of all ages, from Children to Adults, to cooperate online. Secondly, we ensure that Toontown Rewritten continues right where Toontown Online left off, providing an experience that we believe the original developers would be proud of. Finally, we believe that Toontown should be a place that’s fun for everyone.
