Xiaoyu Wang

Xiaoyu Wang is an accomplished technology leader currently serving as the Partner and Head of AI at Topaz Labs since January 2024, where efforts focus on generative AI in image and video. Previously, Xiaoyu co-founded Intellifusion, holding the titles of Chief Scientist and Executive VP from October 2017 to July 2023, and played a pivotal role in building the company and advancing its technology. Prior experience includes serving as the Chair of Computer Vision at Snapchat, Inc. from February 2015 to October 2017, where contributions to deep learning and augmented reality were significant, and working as a Research Scientist at NEC Laboratories America from June 2012 to February 2015, leading research in object recognition and image retrieval. Xiaoyu holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Master of Science in Statistics, both from the University of Missouri-Columbia, completed in April 2012.
