Yuan Liang

Yuan Liang is a Senior Deep Learning Researcher at Topaz Labs, focusing on image super-resolution and enhancement using GAN and diffusion models, and has played a key role in developing major features of the Gigapixel software. Yuan has also created innovative models, including Recovery and Low Resolution V2. Previously, Yuan served as a Deep Learning Researcher, contributing to salient object detection and enhancing models within Gigapixel. Yuan's experience includes an internship at Genentech working on weakly supervised learning in pathology data, a software development internship at Amazon for scalable time sequence prediction, and research roles at UCLA and HKUST. Yuan holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and an MS in Computer Science from UCLA, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Control Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University.
