In addition to their academic qualifications, Iris obtained certifications in Vlaamse Gebarentaal (Flemish Sign Language). They received a "Deelnamebewijs Vlaamse Gebarentaal II" from Doof Vlaanderen in March 2022, and a "Deelnamebewijs Vlaamse Gebarentaal I" from the same institution in July 2021.
