Rafa Zaragoza has a diverse and extensive work experience in the language and translation industry. In their most recent role as the Global Director of Quality, Compliance & Language Delivery at Toppan Digital Language, they managed various departments and achieved certifications for industry standards. Rafa also worked as a freelance translator, proofreader, and quality manager, specializing in various areas. Rafa has held positions at Procore Technologies, RWS Group, Hunter College, SDL, and TransPerfect, where they had responsibilities in quality management, training, performance tracking, and process improvement. Rafa has also served as an English into Spanish Translation Instructor at Hunter College. Throughout their career, Rafa has demonstrated expertise in managing quality, compliance, and risk, as well as implementing and maintaining quality management systems.
Rafa Zaragoza holds a Master's degree in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language from Universitat de Barcelona, which was completed from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Language Interpretation and Translation from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, which they completed from 2008 to 2013. Additionally, Rafa completed a Specialization Course in Spanish Proofreading at Menéndez Pelayo International University in 2013. Rafa also pursued further studies in Spanish for Intercultural Relations at Charles University from 2012 to 2013 and Translation and Interpreting at the University of Texas at Brownsville from 2010 to 2011. Recently, Rafa has acquired a certificate in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from the Six Sigma Global Institute in 2021, as well as a Data Analyst Master's degree from Simplilearn Alumni in the same year.
