Thomas Klos

Thomas Klos has extensive experience in the photonics industry, currently serving as the Director of Distribution Management at TOPTICA Photonics since October 2010. Thomas has held various leadership roles, including Business Development Manager for Asia in Biophotonics and Materials, and R&D Director for OEM Lasers, where responsibilities included managing the R&D OEM team, driving technical innovation in laser systems, and coordinating with key stakeholders. Prior to this, Thomas worked as an Application Manager, overseeing OEM customer projects and leading interdisciplinary teams to develop laser engines and optical systems. Thomas's earlier experience includes working as an Opto-Mechanical/Opto-Electronics Engineer at Alfalight, specializing in prototype development and transition to production, and as an intern at Spectra-Physics, where a novel bonding process for semiconductor laser diodes was developed.
