Russell Burdt

Russell Burdt is a seasoned data scientist currently serving as a Staff Data Scientist for Fleet Operations at Torc Robotics since March 2024. Previously, Russell was a Senior Data Scientist at Lytx, Inc., where significant achievements included developing a predictive collision model for a million-vehicle population and processing large-scale geospatial datasets using AWS, marking Russell as the first data scientist on the Lytx Lab Team. Prior to Lytx, Russell spent a decade at ASML in various positions, contributing to predictive maintenance models and automation systems while supporting the growth of the data science team. Russell's early research roles at the University of California at San Diego and the University of Missouri involved industry-funded projects focused on advanced semiconductor lithography and pulsed power modulators, respectively. Russell holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UC San Diego and a Master’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
