Scott Schlacter is an experienced engineering manager and software engineering team lead at Torc Robotics since August 2014. Previously, Scott served as a research assistant at the Autonomous Systems Laboratory, focusing on developing a sensor network for autonomous ground robots. Scott's earlier experience includes membership on the CU Air Project Team, where significant contributions involved designing an automatic tracking antenna and a gyro-stabilized gimbal for an autonomous aircraft, achieving notable recognition in the 2012 international Student Unmanned Aerial System competition. Internships at Hines and Highland Associates provided foundational skills in infrastructure systems maintenance and CAD design. Scott holds a Master of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University.
