Laurel Clark has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Laurel started their career as a Firmware Design Engineer, working on various projects related to data storage, telecommunications, and flow meters. Laurel later joined Tucker Energy Services as a Firmware Developer, where they focused on embedded software development. After that, they worked at Seagate Technology as a Sr. Staff Firmware Engineer, specializing in firmware development for Hard Disc Drives (HDD), including drive tuning and customer code. Additionally, they worked at HID Global as a Senior Firmware Engineer on a contract basis. In 2018, Laurel joined Trimble Inc. as an Embedded Software Engineer IV, where they took on the role of a Tech Lead for an Embedded Software Team in the Telematics field. Currently, they hold the position of Sr. Principal Software Engineer at The Toro Company. Throughout their career, Laurel has demonstrated strong skills in embedded software development, firmware design, and architecting solutions for customer needs.
Laurel Clark holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from John Brown University. In addition, they have obtained multiple certifications including Certified Associate in Project Management from PMI-OC Project Management Institute Orange County Chapter in December 2018, Certified Professional Program Manager CPPM) from the University of St. Thomas in May 2017, and Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance in April 2017.
