Jennifer Taves is a seasoned sustainability professional with extensive experience in leading environmental initiatives at the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) since September 2009. In the role of Senior Manager for both Sustainable Communities and Partners in Project Green, Taves collaborates with businesses, non-profits, and the public sector to foster climate-resilient communities and advance sustainable development across the Greater Toronto Area. With a background as Project Manager and Coordinator in the same organization, Taves has successfully managed stakeholder engagement, developed sustainability programs, and executed numerous events aimed at promoting eco-friendly practices. Prior to TRCA, Taves served as Sustainability Coordinator at Bayer, where the focus was on creating sustainable business practices and implementing projects such as Operation Zero Waste. Taves holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from the University of Toronto.

With more than 60 years of experience, Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) is one of 36 Conservation Authorities in Ontario, created to safeguard and enhance the health and well-being of watershed communities through the protection and restoration of the natural environment and the ecological services the environment provides.
