Heiko Lau is a seasoned professional in the luxury yachting industry, currently serving as an Application Engineer at Torqeedo since September 2023, where the focus is on sustainable e-mobility solutions for the maritime sector. Previously, Heiko Lau operated Heiko Lau Nautical Scope from October 2020 to September 2023 as a Yacht Surveyor, providing specialized consultancy for refits and new builds, including yacht surveys and project management. With over 27 years of experience, extensive roles as Yacht Captain and Project & Business Manager were held prior to this, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of both sailing and motor yachts while attending to the needs of discerning clients around the globe. Educational qualifications include a Diploma as SuperYacht Surveyor from the Maritime Training Academy, a Master's in Unlimited Yachts from Antwerp Maritime Academy, and an apprenticeship in sailmaking from North Sails.
