Renan Peixoto da Silva has a diverse work experience in various roles. Renan is currently the Head of Engineering at Torre since April 2021. Prior to this, they served as a Technical Lead at Torre from February 2020 to April 2021, and as a Senior Software Engineer from March 2019 to February 2020. Before joining Torre, they worked at Itera - Inovação e Desenvolvimento Tecnológico as a Product Designer & Front-End Engineer from August 2017 to March 2019. At Itera, they focused on adopting a user-driven approach, facilitating Agile adoption, and coordinating the development of reusable UI components. Renan also has experience as a Collaborator at EPiC UFSCar from November 2016 to March 2018. Moreover, they worked as a Researcher in Data Provenance Visualization and Software Traceability at the Provenance and Traceability Research Group, UW Bothell from December 2015 to September 2016. In this role, they investigated software provenance, designed and developed classification-based solutions for extracting and visualizing links between software metadata and code changes. Furthermore, they served as a Scholarship Student at PET-BCC UFSCar from October 2012 to May 2015, where they interacted with end-users, documented requirements, and assisted the development team. Lastly, they also worked as a Research Assistant in Human-Computer Interaction at the Laboratório de Interação Avançada, UFSCar from March 2014 to July 2014. In this role, they conducted research in Urban Computing, designed and developed interactive systems using technology devices, and produced research reports.

Renan Peixoto da Silva completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science and Software Engineering at the University of Washington Bothell from 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science at UFSCar - Alumni from 2012 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications such as the Program Certificate Endeavor Scaling Entrepreneurial Ventures from Harvard Business School Executive Education in 2022, the Stanford-Endeavor Leadership Development Program from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2021, and the Scrum Foundation Professional Certificate from CertiProf® in 2019.
