Janet Hughes

Janet Hughes is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sourcing and product development, currently serving as the Sr. Director of Sourcing and Product Development at Torrid since 2009. In this role, Janet manages the product cycle from design concept to production, overseeing approvals, samples, price negotiations with factories, and production orders for various product categories, including plus size, young men, and juniors in knit, woven, and denim classifications. Prior to Torrid, Janet worked at Anchor Blue Retail Group from 1995 to 2009, initially as a Buyer from 1995 to 1999, responsible for purchasing fashion for junior knits and wovens across 204 stores, and later as Sourcing and Production Manager from 1999 to 2009, managing the complete product development process for young men’s, juniors, and kids' apparel. Janet pursued higher education at Chaffey College from 1986 to 1988.
