Ali Mirza has a strong background in the renewable energy industry and project finance. Ali has served as the Vice President and Head of Structured Finance and M&A at TotalEnergies Renewables USA since January 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President of Business Development at Total Renewables USA from December 2019 to March 2021. Before joining TotalEnergies, Ali Mirza was the Director of Global Project Finance at SunPower Corporation from March 2015 to December 2019, where they led the financing of utility-scale solar PV projects. Ali also worked as a Principal at AIM Capital Ventures LLC from March 2009 to March 2019, where they provided financial advice to solar power clients and contributed to the development of more than 1 GW of solar PV projects. Ali Mirza has held various other roles in project finance at Regenerate Power, LLC, Solar Trust of America, LLC, GE Capital, GFP Advisors, and Banc of America Securities LLC.
Ali Mirza attended Aitchison College from 1985 to 1986, where they completed their HSC (A Levels) in Physics, Mathematics, and Economics. Ali then attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Economics.
