Derek Stutzman has over 20 years of experience in software development. Derek started their career at Black & Veatch as a Software Engineer, where they designed and coded the graphical user interface for a three-dimensional modeling application. Derek then worked at DST Systems as a Contract Programmer, implementing a transaction server and developing subsystems to run on multiple platforms. Derek later joined Sprint as a Contract Programmer, coding a CORBA interface and adding support for Websphere MQ. Derek then moved on to Midwest Consulting Group as a Software Engineer.

In 2000, Derek joined Reuters America, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they coordinated with engineers from multiple locations to design and develop edge caching servers and enhanced real-time market data servers. Derek then joined Cerner as a Senior Software Engineer, where they enhanced, tested, and supported core components on UNIX and Windows platforms and designed enhancements to improve server performance.

In 2012, Derek started working at Lexmark as a Software Engineer, participating in the agile development process and enhancing the functionality of Perceptive's flagship product using C++, C#, and Java.

Currently, Derek is working at TouchNet Information Systems, Inc. as a Software Development Manager.

Derek Stutzman obtained their Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Hesston College between 1987 and 1989. Following that, they pursued their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Kansas State University, completing their degree between 1989 and 1993.
