Ala Falaki

Ala Falaki is an AI Consultant and Technical Editor at Towards AI since April 2023, where two courses have been released in partnership with Intel Disruptor Initiative and Activeloop. With experience as an AI Technical Lead at Empower from April to October 2024, Ala has focused on applying AI to real-world challenges across various industries. Previous roles include Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Windsor (2018-2024), where Ala specialized in Deep Learning architectures for Automatic Text Summarization and conducted numerous graduate assistant and tutoring positions. As a Workshop Facilitator, Ala led technical workshops on NLP and vision. Earlier experience includes founding Geek Sho, serving as a Software Developer at Fanava DP, a Web Developer at Shomalgan Co, and a Technical Manager at DrCivil Publications. Ala holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Windsor and has completed a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Computer Software Engineering from IAU.
