Software Engineer

Tower Research Capital LLC, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. In this role, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the core platform and development tools that enable our engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and provide effective solutions.
• Build and enhance the development tools and frameworks used by our engineering teams, streamlining the software development process and improving productivity. 
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices related to platform engineering and dev tools, and recommend their adoption where appropriate.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve development workflows.
• Continuously evaluate and optimize existing tools and infrastructure to enhance efficiency and maintain a high level of developer productivity.

Qualifications

• Experience as a software engineer, with a focus on platform engineering or dev tools development.
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, C++, Rust.
• Knowledge of developing and maintaining development tools, or frameworks, or testing frameworks a plus.

Anticipated New York annual base salary range $120,000 - $175,000 plus eligible for discretionary bonus
