Michael Alonza Smith

Michael Alonza Smith is an experienced Information Technology professional with over a decade of dedicated service in various roles within the IT field. Currently serving as the Information Technology Operations Manager for the Town of Apex since October 2015, responsibilities include managing operational services, infrastructure inventory, and vendor contracts. Previous roles at the Town of Apex include IT System Analyst and IT Specialist, focusing on client backups, software patching, and hardware upgrades. In addition to municipal work, Michael has served as a Sound Engineer at FAITH TABERNACLE CHRISTIAN CENTER CHURCH since May 2003, where expertise in audio and video equipment configuration and troubleshooting has been demonstrated. Prior positions include IT Technician roles at Hoke County Schools and the City of Fayetteville, where hardware and software troubleshooting was a primary responsibility. Michael holds an Associate of Science degree in Networking Technology from Fayetteville Technical Community College.
