Marisa Williams is an experienced project manager and planner with a strong background in urban studies and policy development. Currently serving as a Project Manager in Planning at WSP since September 2021, Marisa co-manages the Town of Caledon Official Plan Review 2041, focusing on innovative, policy-driven approaches to governance and public engagement. With over 20 years of experience in municipal planning, Marisa has held various leadership roles, including Acting Manager of Policy, Heritage and Design at the Town of Caledon and multiple positions at the City of Toronto, where responsibilities included the implementation of Section 37 policies and housing-related official plans. Marisa began the planning career as an Intermediate Planner at the Town of Oakville, transitioning into heritage preservation roles. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and Geography, a degree in Public Administration, and graduate studies in Urban Design from the University of Toronto, along with studies at the University of Victoria.
