Dave Polivy

Dave Polivy is an experienced leader with a diverse background in public service and business. As a Town Council Member and Mayor of the Town of Truckee since December 2018, key initiatives include housing policy, climate adaptation, and wildfire mitigation, alongside collaboration with federal and state agencies. In a dual role as a Board Member of Visit Truckee-Tahoe, involvement as a founding member of the Tourism Business Improvement District has focused on sustainable tourism. Additionally, as CEO of Tahoe Mountain Sports since 2004, strategic initiatives across retail and e-commerce channels have driven growth. Prior experience includes serving as Program Director for the Sierra Business Council, managing land-use planning and conservation programs. Dave Polivy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology/Earth Science from Skidmore College.
