Andrew Hopkins

Andrew Hopkins is an experienced communications professional with a robust background in media relations and strategic communications. Currently serving as the Communications Coordinator for the Township of Langley since June 2019, Andrew previously worked with the Canadian Red Cross as a Communications & Media Relations Advisor from January 2015 to March 2019, where significant achievements included doubling media coverage in BC and Yukon and managing communication during major disasters. Andrew's career also encompasses roles as a news writer for Global News and CTV News, along with communications positions at Moonraker PR and Renu Bakshi Communications, showcasing a diverse skill set in writing, media training, and strategic messaging. Academic qualifications include a Public Relations Certificate from Simon Fraser University and a Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
