John Sivey

John Sivey is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in chemistry and environmental engineering. Currently serving as the Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Professor of Chemistry at Towson University since 2012, John Sivey also holds the roles of Graduate Program Director for Environmental Science and Jess and Mildred Fisher Endowed Chair in the Biological and Physical Sciences. Additionally, John Sivey is a Lecturer in Environmental Engineering and Science at The Johns Hopkins University since 2017, and was a Visiting Research Professor at Villanova University from January 2019 to May 2020. Previous positions include Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University and Student Technologist at The Dow Chemical Company. John Sivey earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering and Chemistry from The Johns Hopkins University, a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering and Science from Clemson University, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Central Michigan University.
