Geoffrey Budd

Geoffrey Budd is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the technology and automotive sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Vehicle Integration Engineer at Toyota Research Institute since September 2024, Geoffrey previously held the position of Senior Hardware Engineer at Waymo, focusing on system integration and diagnostics. Geoffrey's career includes significant roles such as Head of Engineering and Everything Engineer at Artificial, and Everything Engineer - Robotics at X, the moonshot factory, where responsibilities spanned software and hardware development for robotics. Additional experience includes positions at Google involving robotics and Google Glass, as well as a Mechanical Design Internship at Specialized Bicycle Components. Geoffrey began an academic journey at the University of California, Santa Cruz, earning a BS in Robotics Engineering, following a foundational period as an Aircraft Metals Technologist in the United States Air Force.
