Willem Bakhuis

Willem Bakhuis is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the wind energy sector. Currently serving as the Engineering Leader at TPI Composites, Inc. since August 2023, Bakhuis previously held significant roles at GE Renewable Energy, including Advanced Manufacturing Engineer from August 2019 to August 2023 and Global Technical Leader for Advanced Blade Manufacturing Engineering for over a decade. At Emergya Wind Technologies B.V., Bakhuis managed production and process engineering for medium-sized wind turbine blades, successfully establishing a blade facility from the ground up. With a strong educational background, including a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering/Industrial Management from Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Bakhuis brings over 29 years of expertise in blades and has effectively led and mentored diverse teams globally.
