Bill Sather

Director of Finance & Accounting at Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors

Bill Sather is the Director of Finance and Accounting for TAPS. In this role, Bill makes sure that all financial reporting obligations to TAPS's donors, partners, and reporting agencies are met. Bill has joined TAPS after a long career serving both non profit and for profit organizations. He most recently served as the Director of Finance for BT Federal, a US subsidiary of British Telecom. He has also held similar positions with The Voter Participation Center, MSHC Partners, and McBride Enterprise Solutions. He is an active volunteer in his community, a graduate of George Mason University with a BS in Accounting, and a transplanted Minnesotan. Bill is honored to serve TAPS, providing comfort and support to families who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Founded out of tragedy in 1994, TAPS has grown and established itself as the front line resource to families and loved ones of our military men and women. TAPS has provided comfort and care, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through comprehensive services and programs including peer based emotional support, case work assistance, crisis intervention, and grief and trauma resources. TAPS provides ongoing emotional help, hope, and healing to all who are grieving the death of a loved one in military service to America, regardless of relationship to the deceased, geography, or circumstance of the death.
