Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors
Erin Sellner is an experienced professional currently serving as Survivor Care team support staff at the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors since May 2022, where the focus is on supporting military families after the loss of a loved one. Prior to this role, Erin worked as a Certified Medical Assistant at UPMC from October 2019 to July 2022 and also held a position as a Medical Assistant at Allegheny Health Network from December 2021 to May 2022. Erin has a background in entrepreneurship, operating a home daycare from September 2005 to October 2019, providing care to preschool children. Earlier experience includes working as a Kitchen Assistant at Chop Wok and Talk, where assistance in food preparation and student support during hands-on cooking classes was provided. Erin holds an Associate's degree in Medical/Clinical Assistance from West Virginia Jr. College, completed between 2018 and 2020.

Founded out of tragedy in 1994, TAPS has grown and established itself as the front line resource to families and loved ones of our military men and women. TAPS has provided comfort and care, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through comprehensive services and programs including peer based emotional support, case work assistance, crisis intervention, and grief and trauma resources. TAPS provides ongoing emotional help, hope, and healing to all who are grieving the death of a loved one in military service to America, regardless of relationship to the deceased, geography, or circumstance of the death.
