Howard Zion

Howard Zion is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in metrology, engineering, and board governance. Currently serving as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the National Association for Proficiency Testing since December 2021, Howard is tasked with defining board roles, charters, and strategic direction. In addition, Howard has held a Senior Director position at Transcat since October 2000, focusing on compliance and quality assurance solutions for regulated industries. Past roles include calibration engineering at Philips Consumer Electronics and extensive calibration specialization at NASA and Martin Marietta. Howard holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from the University of Central Florida, alongside an A.A.S. in Engineering Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.
